You can use any of these browsers:
- Microsoft Edge
- Google Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox
- Safari (macOS)
To avoid problems, it is recommended to use Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome (both based on Chromium).
Open the Microsoft Teams page
Go to the following address from your browser's address bar:
Enter your institutional personal account
A screen will appear asking you to sign in. Enter your institutional email address (name.surname@upm.es, name.surname@fgupm.es, etc.) and click "Next".
Service accounts are not valid.
You will be redirected to the UPM user validation website:

Enter the username and password of your UPM account and click "Sign in". If you have 2FA enabled, complete it to continue:
Stay signed in
To reduce the number of times you are asked to sign in, you can enable this option.
Microsoft Teams main screen
Once the validation process is complete, the main sections will be displayed in the side menu and you will be able to use Teams as usual:
- Activity: notifications and mentions.
- Chat: conversations with other people.
- Teams: work groups and channels.
- Calendar: scheduled meetings.
- Calls: make or receive calls (if enabled).
- Files: recent documents.
