Mobile Telephony | Types of SIM Cards

There are several types of SIM cards that we can offer to our users, each with different sizes and functionalities:

  • Mini SIM (2FF): Introduced in 1996, it is more compact (25 x 15 mm) and was common in classic mobile phones like the early Nokia models.
  • Micro SIM (3FF): Launched in 2003, it is even smaller (15 x 12 mm) and became popular with smartphones like the iPhone 4.
  • Nano SIM (4FF): The smallest of all (12.3 x 8.8 mm), it is used in most modern mobile phones.
  • eSIM: A digital SIM that does not take up physical space and is activated by scanning a QR code. It is gaining popularity in the latest generation of smartphones.

We generally provide a physical SIM with perforations for the first three sizes. However, if your device supports it, you can always request an eSIM from us.
