The new corporate telephony service via Teams allows the management of both internal and external calls, with similar features to the current Cisco system. It is a cloud-based phone system that integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Teams, providing a comprehensive communication solution for the University.
This service is not yet fully deployed at UPM, but it is fully integrated with current communication services, allowing us to perfectly interconnect Teams telephony users with Cisco fixed telephony users and corporate mobile telephony users.
The service is provided through Telefónica's fixed network and the following services are included at a single monthly cost:
- National and international call emission and reception (only for authorized lines).
- Personal and group voicemail.
- Capture and delegation of tasks (individual management).
- Call groups for balanced services (formerly hunt groups).
- Masking of outgoing calls in call groups, both manual and automatic.
