Access to certain documents in the Digital Archive may be restricted or embargoed.
Documents with restricted access
Access restricted to the UPM campus
In this case, only users related to UPM, such as staff, faculty, or students, can access the documents, either from the UPM facilities themselves or by accessing the UPM Digital Archive connected to the University VPN.
Users outside the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid will not be able to access them. In these cases, the author of these documents has not given permission for them to be consulted outside the UPM Campus.
Access restricted to UPM Digital Archive staff
This restriction only allows access to the document by the Archive staff.
Neither external users nor staff, faculty, or students will be able to access or download it. Due to intellectual property issues, they cannot be consulted.
Access restricted to administrators
In this final case, only administrators can access the document.
No other user will be able to access or download the document. These documents have been published to comply with the requirements of ANECA, regarding Accreditations, Sexenios, etc.
Embargoed documents
Documents may also be embargoed (not accessible) for a certain period. In this case, the embargo end date will be shown:
Once that date has passed, the document should be accessible.
Open access documents
These documents are not subject to access restrictions or embargoes. They can be viewed or downloaded without any restriction.
This is the case for the majority of documents deposited in the UPM Digital Archive.
In any case, the corresponding licences still apply.
